Over the past month or so I’ve been working on a Celebrity Blogger Directory and finally opened it up to the public. With so many celebrities turning toward social networking (and blogging) websites such as Twitter, MySpace, QIK and more, I came up with the idea of placing all those in a single place … thus CelebrityBloggers.org was born.

So while I was bored this week with organizing my office for 2009, I started to surf around on YouTube for a video I remember finding around XMas time … but I just couldn’t remember the video title 100%. I knew what the video was about so I typed in the keywords and jumped from page to page until I finally located the video. Took me about 5 minutes to do, but I found it. It was from this experience that I thought maybe a sleeker YouTube search using just thumbnails would’ve helped me out … so I sat down and came up with Tube Nails.

Now I know there are other websites out there that have similar features to Tube Nails, but there were a few that were missing. On Tube Nails when you mouseover an image it will display all the available YouTube thumbnails for each video, thus helping in the finding of a specific video based upon thumbnails. Secondly instead of losing you place in the search results, each video opens up and plays in an AJAX window right on top of the search results.

How convenient - an 8 number chunk beginning with 6, just like what we’re supposed to ignore. Lets swap it out. We get this. It’s the blog post “The man from DelMonte - he say yes!”, in which the Dev Team announces that anyone hoping to unlock their iPhone should NOT upgrade to the official 2.2 release.

What does that mean? Well some people over at the iPhone Dev Team believe it means that the 3G iPhone Unlock is about the be released and should work for all 3G iPhone’s no matter if they’ve been PWNED (jailbroken) or not. Now all we can do is countdown until New Years and see what happens.

According to the news article, a bar parton removed his sweater revealing the POLICE T-Shirt he had on underneath. It was at this time a waitress came out and informed the patron a police officer would like to speak to him outside … and that is when the following reportedly happened:

According to the lawsuit, a waitress told Weinstein that some police officers wanted to speak with him outside the bar. Weinstein went outside, he said, and was greeted by Belleville Police Officer Jeff Vernatti.

Vernatti, Weinstein alleges, asked him for his police credentials. Weinstein says he told the officer he didn’t have any credentials because he wasn’t a police officer.

That’s when, according to Weinstein, the police officer started screaming curse words and became physically and verbally abusive. Weinstein says he was cuffed and later released by the officer, but made to take the t-shirt off while standing in the cold.

Weinstein was ticketed for impersonating a police officer, but it was later dismissed. The ticket only alleges Weinstein wore the t-shirt.

“I’m afraid to go to Belleville,” Weinstein said in an interview. According to the lawsuit, Weinstein is a firefighter.

And now the patron is suing the the police department for this incident … craziness! His attorney actually makes a good point about how people are now sporting NYPD apparel all over the country as a sign of respect, however (at least not on record) has any of those people been arrested for impersonating a police officer.

After going back and forth on a name I came up with My Farter (www.myfarter.com). From there is was just coming up with a very basic design and coded it up in about 30 minutes. Since this is my first try at the mobile content world, I also threw on some AdSense Mobile just to see how that whole program works. So if you are bored, head over to My Farter and give it a whril. Most interesting is that the developer of the app has been very transparent about his sales numbers during his app’s climb in ranking. From a previous blog post:

How in the hell can ANYONE come to a rational decision that purchasing a 99-cent application that makes a farting noise is a great purchase. Yes, I do see the humor in this application, but you know you can make those same exact noises (even with a little bonus mixed in if you are lucky) for free? You don’t even have to own a $300+ phone to do so.

Don’t blame the oil companies or the car makers … blame the f’ing consumers who make purchases like this!

PS: Now if this application would allow you to make another person’s phone “fart” remotely (lets say your annoying boss who is making you work all day on Christmas Eve even though he’s out at Hooters), then maybe, just maybe I could see someone making the purchase.

I know I’m probably going to get a lot of hate-email for that comment, and don’t get me wrong, I loved the first video of them with puppies, but its time for them to move on to another “style” of video on your website. Oh, and BTW, I know that Natalie and Rashida read my blog, so I wanted to let you know that both of you have more talent in your pinkie-toe than I do in my whole body.
